Pioneer Ddj-sb Asio Traktor Pro 2 Audio Software
- Hi Everyone,New here, so please be nice!I’ve just bought a Pioneer DDJ-SB, which works great when purely connected to my Macbook. However, I’m trying to now connect the DDJ-SB to my audio interface (M-Audio M Track II) so that I can mix live and not just through headphones. I’m having some problems with this, and just can;t seem to get any sound output. I also have some M-Audio BX5 speakers/monitors that are connected to the M Track II via jack-jack cables. I know the speakers work via the M Track as can play iTunes through them, but just can;t get the DDJ-SB (through Serato) to work!!!I’ve also had a play around with the inout/output options in my Mac’s sound preferences, but still no joy!HELP!!!Quick question – why aren’t you using the master out from the Pioneer SB?Yeah, what Todd said. What exactly are you trying to accomplish. And what is “mix live”?BUMPI’m guessing that this guy has the same problem as me but could have worded it better for people unaware to understand. Before I got my new monitors with my audio interface, my DDJ SB controller worked fine with traktor, using the PIONEER DDJ SB output routing from the audio settings tab. This meant that the sound was playing through the controller, so when the cue button was pressed I could preview the next track without it coming out of the speakers. However, since I’ve connected my audio interface with it’s USB power cable, whenever I try and choose the PIONEER DDJ SB option from the audio settings tab, no sound plays out and the track seems to skip extremely fast through the waveform. When I choose any other audio setting option, sound comes out of the speakers and I can still use all of the functions of my controller apart from using the cue button (No sound comes out of the headphones at all).I have the white and red cable plugging into the back of the controller, with an aux cable connecting it to the laptop. What am I doing wrong?Any help?Thankswhat is the purpose of the aux connection? And why are you using an audio interface when the SB has it’s own?I’m using the M-Audio M TRACK 2 to connect my monitors to my computer. The aux connection is normally used to connect the speakers to the decks directly, but my soundcard doesn’t have an aux input.I am still a bit lost as an AUX connection is an input, so hooking up speakers to an AUX input is not gonna do anything.Which leads me to believe I am still not getting the thing right. Are the monitor speakers the only speakers you use in this situation (i.e. do they act as your main speakers)? As far as I know the SB doesn’t even have an aux connection, right?monitor)?Gonna take a wild stab at things here.* The way you had it set up before: You ran a cable with white/red RCA connectors (master out controller) to a mini-jack input (aux) on your speakers, thus getting sound out of your speakers from the controller.
* In the current situation: you have your speakers hooked up to a USB sound card, the sound card to the PC. And the white/red to mini-jack cable to the (mic) input on the PC?Essentially what you would like to be able to do, is tell the DJ software to use the M-Audio sound card for master out signal and the SB sound card cue output for headphone output. Theoretically this could work if you’d aggregate the M-Audio sound card and SB sound card in which case you should be able to set those outputs correctly (depending on the software, I recently was told that VirtualDJ does the aggregation itself, the others need some kind of driver like Asio4All to work. Mac also has built-in aggregation option in the OS).However, this can be really nasty to get to work correctly. The problem for you now probably is having one set of speakers that you want to use both with your computer sound and with your DDJ-SB I guess?Another way to set it up would be as follows:* buy something like this unit or get a small PA mixer like the Yamaha MG06
* on channel one connect your SB
* on channel two connect your M-Audio sound card
* on the output connect your speakersNow you can mix between the two input signals. You can plug in a headphone to get the same signal as goes to the speaker but in your headphone. This is NOT a seperate output and can not be used for cueing of your controller! But it helps if you want to listen to music and not disturb anybody.Hope that helps some- This reply was modified 4 years, 7 months ago by .

Pioneer Ddj-sb Asio Traktor Pro 2 Audio System
- Dec 09, 2015 Hi, is DDJ-SB compatible with Traktor pro 2? If yes, how can I get it to work because now I have no contact between. I have installed this drivers Ver.1.000 (28 November, 2013 Release).
- TRAKTOR PRO 2 Setting File Download. Added 'Kernel buffer size utility' on ASIO setting utility. The default setting is '3' but please adjust it to '2' if you.
